How to speak about spring in English? Useful phrases and vocabulary

People look forward to many things in spring, including colourful flowers, beautiful sky, the fragrance of mowed grass, and cold rainy days. There are numerous beautiful idioms and phrases in English for discussing the four seasons, particularly spring. 

The first stage of learning is memorising phrases and helpful vocabulary. The second stage is using the phrases correctly in everyday speech.   12. April showers are a brief spell of rainfall that occurs most often in April in the United Kingdom.
